“Stop Taser Torture, blogging for Justice Day – 12.4.09? has been announced.Our goal is to unite the world’s bloggers in posting about the same issue on the same day – Taser Torture in America, Canada and throughout the world.As local law enforcement agencies follow a national trend in arming officerswith Taser stun guns, many police departments are allowing the liberal use of the weapons instead of limiting their useto situations where a life is in danger.
Although the Taser gun is classed as a nonlethal weapon, Amnesty International and bloggers such as Excited-Delirium, Truth Not Tasers, Electronic Village, Tasered While Black and Pam's House Blend have documented close to 400 deaths worldwide that occurred aftera shock from a Taser.
